Stole this from my homegirl BabiLove, hope you don't get pissed.

Interesting take on things - from Bill Gates:

Bill Gates recently gave a speech at a High School about 11 things they did not and will not learn in school. He talks about how feel-good, politically correct teachings created a generation of kids with no concept of reality and how this concept set them up for failure in the real world.

Rule 1: Life is not fair - get used to it!

Rule 2: The world won't care about your self-esteem. The world will expect you to accomplish something BEFORE you feel good about yourself.

Rule 3: You will NOT make $60,000 a year right out of high school.  You won't be a vice-president with a car phone until you earn both.

Rule 4: If you think your teacher is tough, wait till you get a boss.

Rule 5: Flipping burgers is not beneath your dignity. Your Grandparents had a different word for burger flipping: they called it opportunity.

Rule 6: If you mess up, it's not your parents' fault, so don't whine about your mistakes, learn from them.

Rule 7: Before you were born, your parents weren't as boring as they are now.  They got that way from paying your bills, cleaning your clothes and listening to you talk about how cool you thought you were. So before you save the rain forest from the parasites of your parent's generation, try delousing the closet in your own room.

Rule 8: Your school may have done away with winners and losers, but life HAS NOT. In some schools, they have abolished failing grades and they'll give you as MANY TIMES as you want to get the right answer. This doesn't bear the slightest resemblance to ANYTHING in real life.

Rule 9: Life is not divided into semesters. You don't get summers off and very few employers are interested in helping you FIND YOURSELF. Do that on your own time.

Rule 10: Television is NOT real life. In real life, people actually have to leave the coffee shop and go to jobs.

Rule 11: Be nice to nerds. Chances are you'll end up working for one.

A Few Things I've Learned:

* The chances of you ending up with ur first love are very slim, but time truly does heal all wounds.  Just let it ride and things will eventually get better.

* Popularity doesn't mean shit unless you make a few true friends that will be by your side for a life time

* At every age, you think  you know, but years down the line when you look back ,you had no idea.  Knowledge comes with age and experience

* Most people will change jobs at least 3 times in their life time.  Your first job is more for experience.

* It doesn't matter whether karma exists.  Be a good person to be a good person

* Your parents don't always know what's best for you.

* Everyone's life has good and bad.  Never wish you had another person's life. Appreciate your own and make of it what you will.

*Happiness is contagious! <IMAGE HERE> *SMILE!*

Post some comments on this, I would like some oppionions on some of these quotes from you peeps.

Life is full of ups and downs, but it's these ups and downs that make life so wonderful...

What a weekend and my bad that it's been so long since I've updated.

So a little bit of the most recent stuff. Had a great weekend.

Friday:

Spent it with a few friends that came over for my roommate Ray. He had all the old homie's, and heartbreackers from high school over and yes ther girls were hot. Hot as they were they were homegirls so of course see see no touch. Great to see everyone looking better after all these years. Only problem now with the place is we need more seating. I don't think anyone really minded though. The guys didn't sit much with all the drinking anyway's and the girls always love to sit together so there wasn't many issues this time. The games that we played seemed childish to me in the beggining, but turned out really fun after a while. Probably due to the alcohol. We played pictionary, of course with the hoe's against the bro's. Something called Mafia, and all the old drinking games like 10,15, and something roughly translated called Good Looking, BIg Boobs, And Masterbation, probably one of my favorites of the night.

So as the night progressed, Jade was feeling sleepy so I went with her to the room to hold her till she fell asleep. As weird as it may sound, but I'm thinking of settleing down. Shocker huh?! debates on the issue will start this weekend. Info on where to leave your 2 cents will be up later.

Saturday:

Spent the day just cuddling. Why does it feel so good when a girl likes to sleep on top of you, and worries everytime you take a deep breathe if your okay? The answer is we have easy access to the buttay and it feels good to know someone wants to be close to you, but worries about if their hurting you... Also We love to grab that buttay, or maybe it's just me.

After Jade left, I ate some breakfast, did some work online and got ready for the Comedy Jam. Bodyguard came around 3 something and was pretty impressed with the new pad. Or maybe it was just the plasma that he liked, in any case it was the first time in a long time he just sat down and didn't talk shiet. Got some food and headed out. Got there around 6ish and with the hookup tickets we got vip parking too. Got in and holy shizznitz was there boobs a plenty. Most were good, but some came with some extra gut. Made me realize that I need to start watching my weight too. But I wasn't going to start at the Comedy Jam haha. We bought some Nachos, Burritos, some carona's and shiet were thery expensive. Talk about a markup. 10.50 for a 22 ounce, mand we should have pretanked. Picked up some Robert Mondavi Merlot and started towards our seats. Luckily we were seated next to some pretty koo chicks. The whole show was pretty funny, even after the 3rd bottle of wine I still say it was because of the comedians and not so much the alky.

Okay now the cool stuff:

Best buy's lately have to be my nokia 9500. So far everything is great even though the u.s. has little to no software for it yet, it's still a pretty cool phone, but I have to get some bluetoothe asap.

The best house buy is the new plasma. Once you go plasma you can't go back.

More updates later, have to head out to hang out with old homie, and return to our old ways. Welcome back bro, hide your girls people 'cause the deadly duo are back!!!

Just got back from court, and I was pretty sure I was going to go into jail even with my lawyer's help this time. I've been good for the last 4 years and now I'm back, different county same old story. I was using my heart and not an even amount of head.

Why is it that you never know what you have until your about to lose it? I don't just mean this last case where my freedom was almost lost, I mean life in general.

Last year I buried my grandfather. I only thought about making him proud with building a big company and being successful, and found myself at his deathbed realizing all that really mattered was me by his side at the end.

I partied and thought that there would be plenty more days to smoke so I refused that toke on 420, with Mr. 420 and the next day got the call from Bodyguard about his passing. How we all use to joke and live the world was controlled by us, that life was controlled by us, and how now how I wished this was just another joke. The next day I was my 21st bday and the only gift I failed to realize was the time you have with your friends.

When I was in middle school I had a better than good friend, who was always ride or die. We lost contact after going with different groups and even once fighting against each other. We met back up in high school and slowly got back to talking and tried to brush off the past bs, but we both felt awkard to reach the hand back out, because our pride wouldn't let us show emotions. I got a call one mornirng saying that he was gone. He chose to leave this world in blaze of glory. With a guns pointed at him and a ex who no longer cared, he left this world with a sawed off shotgun pointed through his head.

I can remember all that have passed, and am finally starting to see what their true gift was. If was never pity or tears, but were sent to show us the good times, and how fragile they are. Nothing is forever, but thatz what makes the moments mean so much. As kids we lived free from this worlds ideas shoved upon us, and as adults we are told to fit in or else. Some chose to leave early and we'll see them again one day. For us that are here we serve one purpose and one reason why we breathe, and that is to matter. To wake up to grow and change, and to put on the next brick in the house of our lives, and to help with our neighbors houses.

I realize now and have finally found some peace with why I've never had a gf. I've always tried to look for Mrs. perfect when she only lives in my dreams. Where her every move is prepared to my taste leaving no real surprise. I keep saying I want a strong girl as my gf and I now know I can't have both can I? Well in any case I'm tired of looking and have found some better hobbies.

Last night my lil sis told me that I once told her after a breakup that she wasn't at fault. The guy wasnt' at fault, just that they weren't right for each and other and the fault lies there in the middle. In order to find Mr. right you have to start trying to be the best Mrs. Right for yourself. As she told me this back it made me feel good that she remembered and was even able to talk to me when I was in need of an open ear. I then realize this is for everyone and I was not exception.

In order to find the perfect person you have to stop looking and start looking in yourself to be the perfect Mate. You have to work towards your top potential and they'ill come find you.

Or am I the only one? If I am then why don't I do what I say I want to do? What is keeping me from my dreams and wishes except myself. All great leaders lead by expample and have believers interperet. The interperters try to wear the mask and always find it to be a bad fit. In order to get to your goals, the trail must be made by the individual.

Enough for now, If I keep going I'm going to write a book. I'll title it the life and thoughts of MonkeykingA Journey to the West.

The man and his lost hand for anyone that didn't hear about it.

There was a man not too long ago that went hiking in the woods and got his hand trapped underneath a boulder, and not only cut it off using crude and not to metion painful methods. He walked miles and days after to be found and then rescued and brought to a hospital to tell his story of triumph. Why triumph? With one less hand do we judge it as triumph? Yes, becuase he is alive now to tell the story, and not a story told by reporters of what they thought happened. His story tells of how there was no credit given in less pain after deciding to first seperate himself from it. It wasn't any easier after the first cut or the ones after. You may say well once you do the first one it gets easier. Well I don't think at any point easy came into his mind. Then after dealing with the fact of what he just did, he then had to journey days through forest and weather and mental strain to get to a road where he flagged for help. He never stopped! Do you understand the will of man? Do you know your own potential? How many of us dare for a chance to fight for something better? How many of us dare to protect what they have now? Are you a real man or just a coward looking for an easy way out?

I was trying to point out how much ability we each have in our own happiness, and how much pain it will cost to get it.

As promised an update of past events. Don't really know where to start so I'll go with pictures on my phone...

After being introduced to street fairs last year. Me and cliff have tried to make it a point to show up at everyone. We accomplished that last year. This year I missed the Haights street fair due a music video taping of the Big Rich's Yeah thatz the Business. My bad bro. I was able to make it to the fillmore with me Cliff, Louise, my little cuz, and the lovely Linda. Here's a pic of me and Cliff enjoying some drinks at the fillmore festival.

July 4th was great, even though I got so smashed that I didn't hear my phone ring and left 2 girls waiting to meet up. Hey wasn't my fault. I text them the address and did offer to pick them up. All good I had a great time with good friends so I'm happy.

Here's a pic of me and Elin A.K.A. the azndragonR. This is a pic of Elin with his prizes from his many wins in  10  15...  and if you dont' know the game then you better ask somebody. The penalties for losses? Watches! and yes he did get me, thatz my Armani watch on his hand. Cheap Armani, but still a watch I didn't want to lose. Whatz funny was the object most saught after was my hat, and no I didn't lose that little item. Two bro's before all the hoe's, bitches and sluts. My ride or die homie that just dont' give a fuck.

Here's a little pic for you little perves that keep asking me for picx of girls on my xanga. Here's a little pic of Ms. pretty in pink. My homegirl from way back, that is always stacked. Better get your game on right if you step to this one. Pretty face with good taste.

Here's of course the much needed comedy relief pic of me trying to revive a passed out member of the party. He does actually have a good excuse though. He just got back from Shanghai and exhausted from all his ladies. We'll give him that one, but props for not party fowling by spilling the beer. Look at that skill... As julian uses one hand to perch his head from not moving, and one thumb, yes one thumb as a bottle cap so his bottle won't topple or spill. Master joo is this one of the many things you've learned from overseas? You must teach me...I respect the skills but homie your still going up on xanga homie hahaha...

Thankx again for James who has once again provided a great night of laughs, drinks, not to mention the great food. Cheers for playing a host to once again a great 4th of July gathering. I got fed, got drunk, got schooled, and got a handful of memories...
